Han Dynasty Pottery Cocoon Jar. The jar bearing blue, white, red and yellow painted decoration. Circa 206 BC-220 AD. The jar’s form is that of a silk worm cocoon. The silk industry was a major contributer to China’s wealth during the Han Dynasty thus the cocoon was seen as a symbol of good luck.
